Residents of Cohuna don’t have to spend Christmas alone, with the Cohuna Neighbourhood House and Cohuna Lions Club hosting a Christmas lunch.
Getting underway at noon at the Cohuna Memorial Hall, on the corner of Market and King Edward Street, the free lunch will have all the trimmings.
Cohuna Neighbourhood House manager, Tanya Black, said all are welcome to come along.
“The idea behind the community lunch is that we don’t want anyone spending Christmas day alone, so if a person is by themselves, just give the Neighbourhood House a call, and we will put your name down,” she said.
“It will be a cooked Christmas lunch with plum pudding for a sweet, as well as a bit of fun and some presents to open.
“All anyone has to bring is a smile.”
She added that they were fortunate to receive some funding from the Gannawarra Shire.
“The amount was $500 from the resilience flood recovery fund, thank you so much to the Shire,” Ms Black said.
Transport to the venue can be arranged by calling Cohuna Neighbourhood House on 03 5456 4666.
