LOCALS and visitors celebrated the new year with fireworks, music and socialising at events across the district.
There were picnic blankets and chairs set up at Kerang’s Atkinson Park and Cohuna’s Garden Park as people counted down to midnight to ring in 2024.
That Guy and Free Ride performed classic tunes for hundreds of revellers in Kerang, while food vendors kept the crowd satisfied.
There were children’s activities including the famous Rotary train and jumping castle.
Entertainment at Cohuna was by 4 to the Bar while the annual duck race contributed valuable funds.
Both towns provided a fireworks display, with funds collected throughout the year helping to create a colourful display.
