A MELTING pot of culture, colour and creativity will burst at Atkinson Park on Saturday at the Kerang Lunar New Year Festival.
Kerang Progress Association is presenting the first ever festival on March 8, from 4pm to 9pm.
The Lunar New Year Festival is widely celebrated in Asian cultures, focusing on bringing families together, letting go of past negativity, and promoting health and happiness for the coming year.
The exciting event will include lion dances, firecrackers, international street food, multicultural performances, entertainment, and live music – all in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Kerang South Primary School and Kerang Primary School will present a Gamelan and Indonesian dance production in full Indonesian costume as part of the afternoon’s entertainment, led by Aaron and Nita Hall.
