Stories, craft and magic

GANNAWARRA Library Service’s school holiday program will ramp up this week, with events occurring at three of its branches.

Sessions began last Friday at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library, where four children learnt how to draw cats.

The 2016 summer events are being run in conjunction with National Gallery of Victoria’s Kids on Tour program.

One of the more popular events on the program, Jim the Magician will have children spellbound when he visits the Cohuna branch on Wednesday from 2.30pm, while the summer reading club will run at all branches for primary-aged students that are independent readers until the end of the month.

Toddler’s stories and songs can be heard at the Kerang branch on Thursday, January 14 and Thursday, January 21 from 11am to 11.30am and at the Cohuna branch on Thursday, January 19 from 10.30am to 11am.

Bookings are required for all activities and events, so please contact the relevant branch – Kerang (5452 1546), Cohuna (5456 2124) or Quambatook (5457 1220).

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
