Pancakes mark Shrove Tuesday at Catholic primary schools

ST Joseph’s Primary School, Kerang, Just Leaders cooked and served pancakes for Shrove Tuesday on February 1.

Funds raised will be donated to Caritas Australia.

The organisation is the international aid and development organisation of the Catholic Church in Australia

Pancakes were traditionally eaten on the day before Ash Wednesday because they were a way to use up eggs, milk, and sugar before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent.
