School transition made easier in Gannawarra

GANNAWARRA parents have a clearer picture of where they could send their children to school with the launch of council’s latest school transition guide.

Mayor Charlie Gillingham and Cr Ross Stanton joined Koondrook Primary School students and staff to launch the sixth edition of the guide on Wednesday.

“Since its development, the School Transition in Gannawarra guide has become a helpful document for families enrolling their children in Prep or Year 7,” Cr Gillingham said.

“As with previous editions, the guide highlights the choice in services available to the Gannawarra community and provides information to assist families to make decisions that support educational outcomes and personal growth and development of their children.”

All children at kindergartens or in Grade 6 at primary schools across the Gannawarra will receive a copy of the guide.

In addition, copies of the guide are available from council service centres, Gannawarra Library Service branches, or online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au.
