Kerang South Primary School students are excelling at spelling.
On Monday, September 11, the school champions will participate in the Rotary clubs’ annual district spelling bee.
Teacher, Pam Adams, said that the event is like an old fashioned style spelling bee.
“The children say the word, put it into a sentence and then spell it,” Ms Adams said.
“Those that get nine or 10 words correct go into the spell off.
“We then encourage those children to enter the town spelling competition.
“The competition is open to all the schools in the district.
“The kids love doing the spelling bee and it’s a great motivation for children that excel in different areas.
“We have athletics sports carnivals and this is just another way for them to show their development.”
