KERANG Technical High School Year 12 students celebrated an end to their schooling on Friday night, November 17, with a valedictorian dinner at the school hall.
The night’s speaker was Zoe Treacy, who left KTHS in 2010. She talked about her path to starting her own business in Kerang.
The occupation therapist’s journey took in Bendigo and the Northern Territory before landing back in her hometown.
The 19 students from this year’s cohort were given some insights into what they can expect in the first few years after leaving school.
Senior school leader Nathan Henry said that the valedictorian evening was a great way to connect with former students.
“There are five students that have already applied for university, and there are a number of students that have already started apprenticeships,” Mr Henry said.
“A couple of kids were already in the second and third years of their school based apprenticeships so they will transition straight into full-time employment.
“There are a number of different ways to be successful in year 12, which is great.”
