Celebrating individual strengths

KERANG Primary School aims to create an inclusive environment where each student’s strengths are celebrated. We deliver a rigorous academic program that gives students access to a wide range of learning opportunities.

This is highlighted by the incorporation of physical education, art, MARC, music, Auslan, and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program into weekly timetabling that includes literacy, numeracy, science and the humanities.

We place a high emphasis on student wellbeing and work with our community to deliver the best outcomes for all our students and families.

Our values

The school operates under three main values of respect, responsibility and kindness.

These values underpin the interactions of our school community and provide guidance for how each member of the school community can grow and learn.

What we offer

• Positive and professional staff committed to developing the learning of every student in partnership with parents and carers

• An innovative curriculum that uses evidence-based practice to accelerate student learning and wellbeing

• A school culture that values strong partnerships between home, school and the community

• A comprehensive ICT program that offers a 1:1 ratio of devices to students

• Specialist subjects including physical education, art, music, library and Auslan; the school also runs a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program

• A mixture of heritage and modern facilities that create a physically welcoming environment for all.
