At Barham High School, we believe that quality education should be accessible to all.

That’s why we offer free education with no student fees.

We cover the costs of all curriculum-related excursions and provide every student with a free school shirt and school jersey.

Our aim is to ensure that every student can fully participate in all aspects of school life without financial barriers, and develop a stronger sense of belonging.

Our school’s facilities have been significantly upgraded to enhance the learning experience.

Students have access to a fully-equipped gym, a cutting-edge timber workshop, and a modern metal workshop that includes two virtual welders and a laser cutter engraver.

These state-of-the-art resources allow students to gain practical, industry-relevant skills that will serve them well in their future careers.

We are also proud of our dedicated and highly qualified teaching staff, who deliver expert instruction in their specialised key learning areas.

This ensures that every subject is taught with the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm that fosters a love for learning and academic excellence.

To support the development of essential skills, we have implemented dedicated literacy and numeracy periods for Years 7-10.

These sessions are designed to build strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics, helping students succeed across all subjects.

Our curriculum is broad and diverse, offering students a wide range of opportunities to pursue their interests and achieve their goals.

We provide five vocational education and training courses that lead to nationally recognised qualifications, preparing students for the workforce or further study.

Our science department offers comprehensive courses in biology, chemistry, and investigating science, allowing students to explore their scientific passions.

For those seeking academic rigour, we offer the highest level courses in English (English extension two) and mathematics (mathematics extension two).

Barham High School also offers convenient transportation options, with bus services running from surrounding towns including Wakool, Moulamein, Kerang, Cohuna, and Murrabit, making it easier for students from across the region to attend.

In addition to academic programs, Barham High School offers a dedicated careers program designed to help students explore their future pathways.

This includes regular periods with our career adviser and comprehensive tertiary tours, where students visit more than 20 universities and TAFEs across three years.

This program broadens students’ horizons and helps them make informed decisions about their future.

Our school is proud of its strong alumni network, with many former students going on to achieve great things.

We are especially proud to have one of our own, Brendan Yu, as our permanent school principal.
