A SCHOLARSHIP program prioritising education, modern technology and equipment, on-farm strategies and planning is now available to young Victorian farmers.
Interested farmers have until June 17 to apply for the Upskill and Invest Young Farmers Scholarship Program.
The scholarship includes up to $10,000, with each recipient reimbursed up to $5000 to support their training and study, and up to $5000 to invest in putting their new skills into practice.
The program is designed to develop both practical industry-specific skills and those needed to run a successful agricultural business.
The investment package also takes in infrastructure upgrades and professional development to assist their farming careers.
The scholarship is open to farmers aged between 18 and 35 working in farm businesses on at least a casual basis for at least three months, with at least two years’ on-farm experience.
