Canines impress judges

AN impressive pack of dogs and their owners kicked off the Kerang Show on Sunday, with 907 canines competing for the judges.

Four rings were in action throughout the day.

The showdogs are divided into seven groups which included toy dogs, terriers, gun dogs, hounds and working dogs.

An American Hairless Terrier was a noteworthy exhibit.

“It is the first time the breed has been shown in Victoria,” owner Donna Treadwell of Dandenong said.

The dog showing continued yesterday, alongside other Kerang Show events, with a total of 1300 dogs taking part.
