GET ready for a week of festival fun, as the Big Cohuna Festival prepares to bring an array of local talent and groups together to celebrate the district.
The event allows numerous groups and organisations to host events, while showcasing the district.
Whether it’s music, food, agriculture tours, watching the Melbourne Cup or having family fun beside the Gunbower Creek, there is something on offer for everyone.
The festival kicks off tomorrow when St Mary’s students take to the stage for their grand performance of Jules.
The rest of the week will see various workshops, displays and competitions take place.
Presented by Operation Next Gen Cohuna Progress Association, festival co-ordinator Jodie Hay said everyone was looking forward to the event.
“We’re very excited to present another action-packed program that showcases all the wonderful opportunities that Cohuna and the surrounding district has to offer,” Ms Hay said.
“We can’t wait to see everybody smiling and having a good time, because I think we all deserve it,”she said.
The official opening of the Big Cohuna Festival will take place on Friday at 6pm.
