KOONDROOK police officer Leading Senior Constable Phil Lloyd has been promoting a healthy message among younger residents in the town.
Last Friday he visited the Koondrook kindergarten and spoke to the children about his role as a police officer in a small community.
Bringing with him a bag of apples, LSC Lloyd aimed to promote the importance of healthy eating, while encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
He also paid a surprise visit to Koondrook Primary School, armed with six basketballs, that had been donated by Victoria Police.
Koondrook Primary principal Amanda Bradford said the equipment was very welcome.
“They’ll be put to good use,” Ms Bradford said.
“The kids are all out at recess and lunch, fine-tuning their basketball skills.”
