COHUNA’S Memorial Hall was packed for the annual Cohuna Secondary College awards last week.
As principal Fiona Miller observed, the students excelled in all areas in 2019, including sport, music, community involvement and leadership.
Many of them were recognised with sports, academic and special achievement honours at the event, where the school captains and house captains were also announced.
The achievements of 2019 dux Zac Dingwall, who received a near perfect VCE score, was also celebrated.
Meanwhile, last year’s dux, Oscar McGraw, gave an inspirational speech about life after secondary school, which emphasised the world beyond academic marks.
Musical interludes on the night were provided by gifted Year 12 musician Claudia McFarlane, as well as the college band.
School council president Andrew Rigg also gave a speech.
