Kerang beauty salon back in business

KERANG’s Beauty Dust salon reopened in Kerang on Thursday after a six-week closure — the second this year caused by stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions.

Rani Tuohey, who had missed an appointment or two, was glad to be back for an eyebrow wax and tinting on Friday.

“Normally she comes once a month,” Beauty Dust owner Katelyn Wright said.

“It makes her feel good.”

Despite the ban on under-mask treatments such as facials and lip waxing, business at the beauty salon has so far been busy.

“There’s been a very good response and everyone’s been very good about it,” Ms Wright said.

“And I guess it’s good for the community to have beauty open again.”

“It’s really nice — nice to be able to see my clients again and to get out and about.”
