ELECTION candidates in Gannawarra Shire will make their case for election in two online forums next week.
Livestreamed on Zoom, from 6.30pm on Thursday, October 15, a combined Patchell and Murray ward forum will feature all seven candidates in Patchell plus two of the three Murray contenders, with each giving a short address and answering moderated questions from the audience.
Avoca ward councillor Charlie Gillingham, who is set to be re-elected unopposed, will also take part.
The event will be jointly presented by the Gannawarra Times and Kerang and District Community Centre and will be moderated by Gannawarra Times and Swan Hill Guardian Mid Murray Area Manager Rob Duffield.
Organisers said the forum was being held in a spirit of goodwill and public interest and requested all contributions be civil and respectful.
Next Wednesday, October 14, from 7pm the Cohuna Neighbourhood House will hold a Meet your Candidates session for the Yarran ward.
