KERANG Lions members have practiced what they preach, saving a member’s possessions before their house becomes inundated by floodwater.
Six Lions members lifted all the homeowners furniture onto bricks and wood blocks to prevent it from damage, just like it did in 2011.
The homeowner declined to be interviewed, but extended his appreciation.
He even apologised that he couldn’t offer his friends a cuppa as everything had been stored away.
“We took a raincheck for later on,” the club posted on Facebook.
“This is what Lions is about – looking after those in need in our community and especially when it is involving a fellow club member.”
