Frightening dog encounters

Last Monday, November 25, I was walking my dog at 10am. Suddenly, out of nowhere, three hunting-type dogs appeared, formed an apex, and attempted to attack my dog.

I then grabbed my dog, then lunged and screamed at the attacking dogs which scattered.

This left me and my dog severely traumatised, angry, upset, and frightened.

I reported this to council.

I have grave concerns that these dogs could go after a baby or small child, given their pack behaviour.

On November 28, I was walking my dog at the top end of Shadforth street when two medium sized mixed-breed dogs, looking very neglected attempted to come up to us.

I grabbed my dog, I lunged and yelled at the dogs which then scattered.

Once again, I reported this to the council.

I would like to see if it is possible that those who own dogs are not subjected to this danger.

People should be able to walk their dog in safety without fear of semi-feral/wild dogs attempting to attack and kill much-loved pet dogs.
