Rainfall close to record – Oct 1, 1993

THE flood-bound Kerang region has experienced its second wettest September on record.

A total of 103.4mm fell in Kerang during September, drenching farmlands and swelling creeks and rivers.

Not only was the monthly total well above the September average of 35mm, but also above the Spring average of 91mm.

The wettest September on record came just last year when 110.0mm fell. That was during a year which saw Kerang experience its second wettest Spring on record with 233.4mm and third wettest year with 689.4mm
