We need the Holy Spirit

JESUS had an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, and this is what we need.

He also was clothed and anointed with the Holy Spirit’s power.

This also is an essential for us in these end times.

Luke 4:1 says that Jesus was filled with and led by the Holy Spirit.

Then he promised the same to us: (John 14:16-17 NKJV) “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever – the Spirit of truth … you know Him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”

In John 20, the resurrected Jesus met with his apostles.

He blew on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

They received him inside for relationship, help, and guidance.

This same experience is available to you right now.

Luke 4:14 says that when Jesus returned from the wilderness (his lockdown), he was ‘in’ the power of the Holy Spirit.

In other words, God’s supernatural power was all over him, and he promised this to you as well: (Luke 24:49 NIV) “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

Our Lord went on to say that the outcome of being clothed in Holy Spirit power is that we will be his witnesses: (Acts 1:8 NKJV) “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me …”

The first Christian Pentecost was 50 days after Passover/Easter – when Jesus died on the cross and rose again.

What happened? “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit” and clothed in fiery power.

Those 120 committed believers amazingly went on to change the world.

We can expect that today; anticipate the same in your life as you focus on him and ask him to fill you: (Acts 2:1-4 NLT) On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.

Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.

Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.

And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Ask for a fresh clothing of Holy Spirit power today.

Pray to God and read his word regularly; and then be unashamed to ask him for what you need: forgivness, healing, provision, and salvation.

In Jesus, his answer is yes.
