Suzette Lehmann at Every Stitch Counts, was kept quite busy during the COVID-19 restrictions, with crafty customers buying goods to keep themselves entertained. Her billboard out the front at one stage stated “Dinosaurs didn’t sew, and now they are extinct. Coincidence?” Nice one Suzette.

At Kerang golf last week Michelle Baker put up her shade umbrella. Maybe she wasn’t actually trying to keep out of the sun, just stopping the frost from settling.

An incident as reported in the Gannawarra Times stated that the culprit was from Gannawarra. Is that the shire, the tiny hamlet out the Koroop road, or where? As the Gannawarra shire is attempting to make the shift to be called “The Gannawarra”, this only confuses things.

There is still the Gannawarra Tennis Club, the Gannawarra Church as well as the Gannawarra Times.

This is marketing that has gone mad, or marketing that has at least missed the mark.

Speaking of Gannawarra, Trevor Hird is a resident from out there, that’s the place, not the shire, but he lives in the shire. He was one of the farmers in the Gannawarra shire who sold their dairy cows. Trev had a ripping little dairy farm that was well laid out.

He is now growing fodder and spending more time on the phone than he probably should.

Bit of a sportsman in his day too, although he still plays cricket, but he has lost a yard or two.

Heard on the grapevine that an ex-panel beater recently took his car to the local mechanic for a service, but should have gone to an optometrist first. The oil was dropped from the vehicle, filter changed etc , and as the mechanic was writing on the sticker for the next service, he noticed that a service had been done just three weeks earlier. Must have been some pretty tough kilometres in that three week period, Robbo?

While speaking of Al Hird, Chic and Stace would be happy that school is back.

That means that Al has to do his real job, driving a school bus, and spend less time annoying them.

New signs have been placed for speed restrictions into Kerang and Cohuna. Known as VB signs, for obvious reasons, they have the town name on them and the speed limit. These special signs are placed in only a select few towns within the state, Kerang and Cohuna are as good as any.

Poor old Bradley Wolfe, a Vivid work crew supported employee, is a bit disappointed in the footy at the moment.

I say “poor old” only because he, like myself, faithfully supports Carlton, and of course, that’s why he is disappointed.

Last year Brad declared that he could have been their coach or recruiting officer, but he didn’t really want the job…

At least they can only go upwards, so stay strong Brad.

Deb Thompson, who drives over from Cohuna to run the front office at the Gannawarra Times, has diligently placed the COVID-19 app on her phone. But Deb, you have to take the phone with you for the app to be of use.
