Chelle at the Quambatook Store had a bit of trouble recently. It seems that her horse stepped on her, then tripped and ended up sitting on poor Chelle. Multiple fractures to her leg – that’s Chelle, not the horse – and she’s off work for a while.
The horse is most likely a dearly-loved family pet, but I wonder what name it received following this incident?

Easter has come and gone and for the Rotary Club’s Annual Art Show, entries and sponsorship were both up. Hopefully people through the door and sales of the wonderful art were also up.
The Art Show has been an iconic annual event in Kerang over Easter, right along with the Turf Club’s Easter Races.

It seems there was a word missed from the Komment last week. This was totally the author’s error and just goes to show that if you dish it out, you must take it also. It was brought to my attention by someone who reads the Komment, so that’s got be good. Obviously this person wishes to remain anonymous, but he lives over Koondrook way, owns a computer store in Kerang and his wife’s name is Tania.

Nullawil’s practice match against Inglewood was a bit one-sided: Forty goals to zip. Sometimes that may not be the best thing for either team. Maybe it could have been better to give the opposition a player or six and turn it into a bit more competitive intra-club match – just a thought after discussion with my footy guru.
Wandella were quite happy with their practice match against Koondrook Barham the other week. They seriously like the look of that Flack bloke. Seems he can play a bit.
Yeah, but don’t worry about that. The word is Macorna will be at the top section of the ladder too.

Chick Dee was seen driving down the main street the other evening. The only reason he was visible was that the camouflage wrap on the little Suzuki is peeling off.

Spotted in town last week was the spritely Kath Taylor. As she is looking so fit she could have played in the Easter tournament, I asked if she was going to have a hit. She said that yours truly was to be her doubles partner. Crikey Kath, I think that would mean you would have to do all the running! All the best lovely lady.

One of Kath’s sons, Denis, was in town last week also and was seen stopping for a chat in the middle of Victoria Street.
It was quickly decided that the double white lines of Victoria Street wasn’t the best place to catch up. Having seen Denis on the footy field, he would have calmly dodged anything that came his way, but then that was a while ago.

I thought it was a second hole-in-one for Ned? It had been mentioned earlier. It is clearly obvious that Mr Gary Pay is not getting value for money with his golf membership, because he is having way fewer shots than he usually does.
On a recent golf trip Ned came last in a field of 17. See – he only plays it socially!

I’ve been shamed into saying something about the Blues (Carlton version, as the local Blues are high achievers). A decent effort in round 1 against premiership favourites, then a less than mediocre effort against their main rivals was just not what we needed. Oh well, life goes on and we will just keep on copping it.
Good to see a couple of Doggies supporters were quite happy with a decent victory over the Eagles.

Former horse trainer Pete Williams has had a bit of trouble with drones of late. His first one got away from him and headed towards Murrabit. He bought another one and it also took off and was last seen heading to Koondrook. Keep them low, Pete.
Also Pete, you will realise that this information is being provided by a “so-called friend”.

Alan Hird had to change the batteries on the starting gate at Kerang’s Boxing Day meeting, but he thought one of the batteries was flat. He couldn’t get it going so a friend had a look and it worked perfectly for him. Hope you had it together for Easter Al.
