Wandella netballer Alana Barrer has lost a yard or three since she lined up for netball against Moulamein on the weekend of April 23.
It seems that Alana has done a knee and probably won’t see a netball court for a while.
Hopefully you can still get about enough to work at least, Alana. Sure that the club and everyone will be wishing you a speedy recovery.
It seems that a local Koondrook couple were hoping to get some takeaway from the lovely Don’s Kitchen at cluBarham recently and decided to order online.
Expecting a call to say their meal was ready, they waited until eventually deciding they’d better call again.
It was then they noticed they weren’t likely to be getting their meal too soon.
You see, the order had been placed with a Don’s Kitchen in Hamilton. Who’s going to pick that up?
And they thought they were supporting the locals.
The Maplestones were seen riding their bikes in Kerang last Tuesday. Tried to give them a wave but they were going too fast.
Great to see Lindsay and Ros out and about.

Owen Suter did the Good Samaritan effort for Quincy’s gopher the other day, by helping her with her canopy. Being a bit hindered, Owen did what he could to at least keep Quincy moving. Well done, Owen.
Former KTHS principal from way back, Bruce Hotton, has been over in Brazil playing cricket with the Australian Over 80s team. While over there, Bruce had a bit of a medical problem, but has since made an excellent recovery.
Bruce played cricket for Fairley way back in the day. All the very best to you, Mr Hotton.
Looking back, you would remember that some folks from the Rovers Footy Club were going to organise a reunion. Obviously COVID put a halt to that, but, surely, you’d think that Doc Turvey, Rob Walsh and Lindsay Hein would get it fired up again.
Hope that these blokes decide to get something going again, as all past members would have a rippin’ time.
I have mentioned in the past old mate Simon Hall, who the Komment once described as a level-headed Saints supporter.
Was wondering if he is a bit more enthusiastic about the Saints’ chances this season?
They won’t win it this year Simon, but Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Speaking of Saints supporters, one who left town ages ago and was keen on a wager every time they played the Blues, is Barry Heffer. If he hadn’t left town, Kurly would have been a poorer man, as the Saints have had it over the Blues for quite a while (hasn’t everyone?)

The word is out that Pat Gillingham has ticked over another year. We shouldn’t mention any age here, but we must say that Pat is looking like a spritely 70-year-old, as active as a 60-year-old and has actually reached a major milestone somewhere between 100 and 80. Congratulations, Mrs Gillingham.
