Shire worker Adam Clapham was seen driving the shire mower like he stole it, while mowing along the highway. Great job, Adam.

He was obviously not there for a haircut – neither of us.

Charlie must be doing something right. He has been voted in for his third term as mayor. Congratulations Cr Gillingham.

With all the water that’s about, there are plenty of mozzies getting around. The damn things are as big as budgies.

“I TRUST the banks” isn’t a term that you hear much when referring to the country’s finance.

But it is a term that could be used in reference to the local floods around Kerang. The town levee has protected Kerang’s town folk exceptionally well.

We all hope that those outside the town levee are doing well and staying safe.

The Poms have won the T20 World Cup quite confidently against Pakistan.

Seem to remember about 30 years ago the Pakistanis won the 50-over World Series against the Poms. That was out of the blue, but it came to mind.

The gang from The Guardian and Gannawarra Times got together for a conference late last week and a bit of socialising.

Some mini golf at Holey Moley was a good social event, with the winner being just that little bit too consistent for the opposition. The opposition were off to a bad start by placing the eventual winner in control of the scorecard. Rookie error!

Not a real lot of sport being played locally. The golfers can have a hit and the bowlers are also able to have their roll. The local bowlers are a hardy bunch, and with the damp weather, we’d have to assume that the local greens are a bit fast. This will suit some and not others, but it won’t help those sending them down on the wrong bias.

It seems that a current club champion was observed putting two bowls down on the wrong bias during social bowls. You’d think it would only be done once, but two – geez.

A local publican from the town’s most northern hotel, who won’t want to be identified, but whose name is Rob Fisher, also put one down on the wrong bias.

Just wondering if it considered worse than dropping a catch in cricket?

Not that many sleeps until Christmas now, and the local traders are keen to get the gift cards going and a late night shopping event on the way as well.

With all the trouble we have had lately, shopping local would be the best for you in 2022.

The argument about driving through floodwaters will always be around while we are still wet. Locals to use the local roads, but when will VicRoads fix up the potholes? Supposedly there have been 60,000 potholes filled. Still a few to go.
