Bruce the dentist has purchased the Kerang Dental Surgery, and while in there the other day, I ran into my old footy coach and cricket captain David Laidlaw.
David and wife Marg have been over in Cohuna for many years now and it was great to catch up again captain my captain.
Then Alan Hird popped in to get his smile improved. Maybe he was there for some Botox work? They do that there too you know, Al.

So the Aussies did win the first Test in a brilliant match. Uzzy starred, Warner did probably well enough to hold his spot and the captain played extremely well, but may have made a mistake or two regarding field placings with a deep point in the first over.
This would have been to defend against the Pom’s Bazball style.
Maybe in Test cricket, attacking could have been a better option, but who cares, we won. Our bowlers batted well too.
While out and about late the week before last I ran into Russell and Deanne Ladson. Of course, Russell and I talked footy and our respective son’s careers.
Now Russell’s grandsons, Matt and Brad, have both retired, but between them and their dad, Wayne, they have won quite a few B&F.
The total could be as high as 15. I’m not too sure but Russell probably won a couple too. Pretty talented family there. I suppose they get all their sporting ability from Deanne.
As Gary Pay and I were having a meeting last week with our quorum of two, Doug and Elaine Ellwood walked past.
Doug obviously gave some cheek which we may have deserved. On his way back, Doug gave some more cheek, but refused to take minutes for our meeting.
Is it right that Doug won golf last Thursday week and the following Saturday too? Must be in a streak of good form Doug. Great to meet the lovely couple.
Stumpy Stirling is one that we haven’t seen on the streets for quite a while, but he is now out and about on his new hip and knee.
If he looked any fitter he probably should go to Kerang footy training.
Then again Stumpy, you would have to play three games to qualify for the finals and it might take longer than that to be up to the standard we are familiar with from yourself.
Maybe give it a miss then and do the social member thing.

Popular Kerang Primary School principal Brenton Taylor has finally retired. He oversaw his final assembly on Friday, which was his final day.
He started teaching over Echuca way back in 1971. That’s 52 bloomin’ years.
He says he would like to edit his shed and improve his garden, but the teachers think his calling may be clearing tables.
Hope that Gwenda has a list for him to complete and we are sure to see him doing blockies in Echuca in the ‘Tang
