The Gannawarra Times building has been around for over 100 years and there’s a few deciduous trees around so local handyman Brett Condelly was booked in to clean the spouting.
That was last Tuesday, when it was raining, so the poor fella decided it was best to stay dry and do it another day.
Conda has become a grandfather again with daughter Hannah and partner Anders presenting the family with a lovely 8 lb 9oz daughter, Ryla Von Hird. All the best to the family.
Local ad rep Christine Hildenhagen needed her car fixed and took it to Tate Drive in the morning, then walked to work and expected workmate, Kurly, to take her home at lunch.
Only thing is Kurl forgot. Full senior moment.
Christine is, however, getting fitter with all the walking she is doing.
Kerang keep on winning in the ones and twos. Top of the ladder and undefeated in both.
Hope that they can continue undefeated for the season.

The Kerang Turf Club’s December 30 meeting is just a trial date and Country Racing Victoria aren’t going to allot any Boxing Day meetings to other clubs.
Hopefully the town can get behind this day and then the Turf Club will have a tough decision to make as to when to hold the meeting. Of course it’s helpers that the club needs to make the day special and of course, a great crowd.
The committee would love to see you there.
Heard a rumour that two former Macorna lads will be coaching Bridgewater next year in the Loddon Valley league. Ok, it may be a bit of a stretch to call them locals, but both did have strong connections with Macorna.
Rick Ladson coached Bridgy this season and the word is he will be joined by Lachy Sharp from Strathfieldsaye as co-coach.
Bet Macorna would love to have them both back (in their prime of course).
Caught up with Barry “Chippa” Ilsley and lovely wife Karen in Benders the other weekend.
Barry was a Rovers lad from way back and ended his footy career at Appin, where he met Karen.
Chippa has been working in Swan Hill for many years and Karen is in Kerang at Adams’.
Great to see the lovely couple enjoying life.
Chatting to old mate Hangers the other day and he tells me that Tom McGillivray passed away a week or so ago. Tom was a one-town-butcher in Gunny for over 50 years, which is a great effort and will obviously be sadly missed.
Must admit that the conversation went a bit further than just Robert Maxwell (Tom) McGillivray. We had to discuss who was whose brother and where this one fitted into the family.
The McGillivray’s are a strong and popular Gunbower name. All the very best to all.
