Komment by Kurl

SO I must admit that I was caught out by daylight saving ending.

Worked early last Tuesday as always, then looking to finish at the usual time of 5pm, which would give me two hours time in lieu.

Made the usual weak comment, “Don’t care what you say, I’m taking the rest of the day off”, thinking it was five, but it was only four. Hadn’t changed the clock at work.

It’s all OK as my workmate would have thought I was taking some time off.

Realised when I got home and the clocks there said 4.10pm. Whoops.

Then, while talking to a client-friend, their sliding glass door opened as I was leaving, but the conversation continued. Staying there for a while, I didn’t realise that the door had closed, so, as I turned left, ran right into it.

Life can be worse, but it seems it could also be way better.

FOOTY tipping, and the round from April 6 saw many folks tip all nine games correctly.

Some comps have a bonus for doing this, or you can even select to use a joker which gives you double whatever you tip that week. Very handy when you tip them all.

The AFL draw has eight rounds where not all teams play. Don’t want to pick the joker for those rounds.

HAVE heard that there was some concrete laid at KTHS which was not up to standard, so it was all ripped up again.

Not the school’s fault, or the council’s, but it isn’t the most efficient use of grant money.

Concrete will be re-laid. Probably granted to the cheapest.

WAS speaking to Laine Gibbons for a tick last Thursday, and he said to someone, “Don’t talk to him, you’ll get in the paper.”

So that does it. It looked like Laine was helping out with the coaching of the little kids, having a go at what we hope will be a very rewarding job.

Though I thought he should have turned around and stepped on the snail that had been following him around all night.

THE Wandella ground looks excellent and ready for the start of the season. Almost makes you want to play again – but no, don’t be ridiculous.

The Bombers faced off against Macorna on Saturday.

Reserves coach Michael Rowey is strapping the boots on again for at least one more season. All the best Rowey.

SAW old workmate Max Maclean last week and we solved world problems including all the problems with footy.

Of course Collingwood was the main subject, and even though the Pies have had a rather sketchy start to the season, Max is sure they are back on track. Phfft! As if he would say any different!
