Body found in Gunbower Creek

Police investigations are continuing after a body was discovered in Gunbower Creek last Tuesday.

The body was discovered in Koondrook, in waters near Condies Bridge, around 5.30pm.

Police said the exact circumstances surrounding the death were yet to be determined and the investigation was ongoing.

Seeking assistance

Kerang Police are investigating a series of incidents which have occurred in Kerang over the past few days.

Police said the incidents involved a female with blonde hair, in her late 30s, causing trouble.

Theft

Two stainless steel dishwashers were stolen from the rear of a Cohuna business on March 14.

The incident took place at King George Street at around 9.10pm.

Multiple charges

A 20-year-old Kerang man has been charged and bailed after he was intercepted on Westblade Avenue on March 16.

He was charged in relation to possessing and trafficking methamphetamine and GHB, possessing a controlled weapon, theft and dealing with proceeds of a crime.

Duck season

Gannawarra police units have been committed to the opening of this year’s duck season.

In supporting the Game Management Authority, two people received infringements for entering a hunting area without a permit and received banning notices for the rest of the season.

A hunter has also received an infringement for shooting a protected species and had his firearm confiscated.
