Police beat April 12

Stolen vehicle

A WHITE Nissan Patrol was stolen from a residential address in Carbine Street, Kerang on Thursday.

Police are investigating the alleged theft after witnesses said they saw the vehicle on the back of a truck.

Search warrant

GANNAWARRA Police units executed a search warrant at an address in Hawthorne Court, Kerang on April 5.

Police said a number of items were seized from the premises and, as a result, a number of people will be interviewed regarding a serious assault matter.

Affray

POLICE are investigating an altercation which took place at Alexandra Avenue, Kerang on April 3.

Police said the offenders were known to the victim.

Investigations into the assault are ongoing.

Damage

OFFENDERS have caused damage to the Sir John Gorton Library.

The incident occurred just before 8pm on April 2.

Warrants

POLICE seized a quantity of drugs and suspected stolen property, following the execution of search warrants in Kerang and Quambatook on March 29.

Methamphetamine and GHB was located during the searches.

Two men and two women were arrested and interviewed in relation to the offences.

They will attend court at a later date.

Theft

CASH and an iPad was stolen from a home in Murray Street, Kerang.

The offence took place between midnight and 5am on March 31.

Stolen car

A WHITE Subaru Brumby ute was stolen from a Boundary Street address in Kerang.

The alleged theft took place between 10pm on March 28 and 8.30am the following day.

Police said the ute was found a couple of days later in a paddock off Lilac Avenue.

Entry gained

OFFENDERS have gained entry to a Murray Street home in Kerang, without the permission of the owners.

Police said the offence took place between 5pm and 10.30pm on March 27.

It is unclear whether or not anything was stolen from the address.

Road policing

ROAD policing was a focus for Gannawarra Police units in March.

During the month, Gannawarra Police conducted more than 1100 preliminary breath tests.

Police issued more than 90 penalty notices and identified three defective motor vehicles as part of this operation.Anyone with information in relation to any of these offences is urged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
