Man charged with drug offences

Drug possession

A 31-year-old man was charged with drug-related offences after Cohuna police intercepted a vehicle in the early hours of Friday, May 6.

It’s alleged a quantity of methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.

The driver was arrested, charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.

Theft

OFFENDERS have stolen a number of plants from a local nursery.

The seven potted Hopbush plants were taken from the nursery’s premises at Kerang-Murrabit Road sometime between April 29 and May 2.

Stolen bike

A MOUNTAIN bike was stolen from the front yard of a Vaughan Street address in Kerang between 10am and 4pm on May 3.

The bike has silver duct tape on the handle grips.

Stolen car

A 1999 maroon Toyota Corolla was stolen from a Boundary Street home in Kerang overnight on May 2.

The vehicle was found four days later in Murphy Street.

Wilful damage

OFFENDERS have damaged a vehicle parked on the naturestrip in Nolan Street, Kerang.

The damage occurred overnight on May 1.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident on the same night, a window at a unit in Murray Street was damaged just after midnight.

Break-in

OFFENDERS have gained entry to a home in Hawthorn Court between April 20 and 30.

A number of items were stolen from the Kerang address, including a television and two motorbikes.

Vehicle impoundment

QUAMBATOOK Police intercepted a vehicle in Nolan Street on May 8 while patrolling Kerang.

The 25-year-old male driver was unable to produce a licence, and subsequent checks revealed it had been cancelled.

As a result, the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
