MISSING Merbein teenager Dom Nichols has been found safe and well in NSW, after being missing for two weeks.
Dom, 15, had last been seen at his Merbein home about 7.30pm on September 14 and police said they had “real concerns” about the teenager’s welfare, as his disappearance was out of character.
He was found at an undisclosed location about 11.40pm on Tuesday.
Police had not considered Dom to be a “runaway” and thought he may have been in the company of another person, but this has not been publicly confirmed.
They had been told that Dom was around Fifteenth Street, Mildura, for an extended period on the night of his disappearance before he had travelled out of Mildura and into rural NSW, and then on to Cowra later in the afternoon on the September 15.
Police said that given the distance of travel, it was likely that Dom had been assisted to reach Cowra, about 300 kilometres west of Sydney.
