TWO teenagers allegedly rammed a police vehicle with a stolen car between Kerang and Swan Hill last week, injuring an officer.
The two boys, aged 17 and 14, allegedly stole a utility from a Bendigo Road, Kerang business some time between 7pm and 8pm on September 30.
They drove the vehicle towards Swan Hill where police attempted to intercept them.
Police said the vehicle failed to pull over, resulting in stop sticks being deployed on the Murray Valley Highway, which were effective, however they continued to drive on flat tyres, dangerously passing other vehicles.
The vehicle rolled about 3km south of Swan Hill.
One of the alleged offenders then stole a vehicle from a nearby caravan park, attempting to evade police.
Police said it then rammed a police vehicle before crashing into a tree. An officer sustained minor hand and arm injuries and the two teenagers were arrested.
They have been charged with a string of traffic offences and theft of motor vehicle.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. Call Swan Hill police on 5036 1600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
