Victim falls for scam

KERANG police are investigating an alleged bank scam.

The victim received a call from a person claiming to be from bank security on February 1.

Sounding legitimate, the victim followed directions and organised the transfer of funds before realising it was a scam.

Badge taken

A NISSAN badge was removed from a vehicle parked in Marne Street, Kerang, some time between 9pm on February 6 and 8.30am the following day.

Swag stolen

A SWAG was reported stolen from the rear of a ute in Kerang earlier this month.

Police said the ute was parked in Boundary Street, Kerang, when the incident happened some time between 8pm on February 1 and 12 noon on February 3.
