Business targeted

A LEITCHVILLE business was targeted by thieves last month.

Police said offenders forced entry to the business in King Albert Street some time between 1pm on April 22 and 9.30am the following day.


Teen conned

POLICE are investigating after a teenage boy was conned on Snapchat.

A 14-year-old was contacted on the social media platform by a person they stated as being a teenage girl.

The messages progressed to a point where the male provided intimate images of himself.

The female then disclosed that they were not a female and threatened to send the pictures to all his contacts unless he paid them $500.

He didn’t pay, and the matter was reported to police.


Cannabis trafficking

AN elderly man has been charged with trafficking and possessing cannabis.

Police intercepted a vehicle on the Murray Valley Highway, south of Kerang, about 4pm on April 23.

Two large bags of what will be alleged was cannabis was located in the vehicle.

A 77-year-old man will face court at a later date.
