Cash pinched

AN 80-year-old woman had a fall on October 14 while entering Kerang Primary School to vote. The woman was assisted by bystanders who were told her handbag contained an emergency assistance card with phone numbers. When the woman got in an ambulance that had been called for her, she checked her bag, and noticed that $150 had been stolen from her purse. Police are investigating the theft and are calling for anyone who was a witness to the fall to provide information.

Pump theft

AN Onga water pump and fixtures was stolen from the Kerang Uniting Church between October 15 and 23. The pump was covered and had been locked with a padlock. The padlock had been removed, and the pump cover put back in place. More than three quarters of the water in the 1500 litre tank was also lost.

Cattle stolen

A FARMER was notified by neighbours on September 30 that some of his cattle were wandering outside of their paddock. When the farmer attended, the gate was open and around 30 cattle were out on Palmers Road. A couple of weeks later when drafting cattle from the same paddock, the farmer noticed that three Friesian Heifers were missing. They are 15-18 months old and valued at approximately $1500 each.
