POLICE say a man who tried to evade them by driving off a road and hiding in a paddock at Dumosa had a small quantity of illicit drugs in his backpack. The man was arrested on October 31 after the chase.
Fire flares up
A MAN was being questioned by police after he allegedly lit a fire on a property in Walker Road, near Kerang, and left it unattended. The fire flared up when the wind changed and CFA firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish it.
Toilets trashed
A TOILET block was vandalised overnight on November 4 at a Cohuna Island Road caravan park. Vandals smashed a hand soap dispenser, hand dryer, mirror and basin. The damaged property has been collected for forensic investigation and Cohuna police are asking the public for any information on the incident.
Plate theft
BETWEEN November 2 and 4 the rear registration plate and petrol cap of a car parked on a nature strip in Queen Mary Avenue, Leitchville, were removed.
