Trafficking charges

The driver of a vehicle stopped by Tate Drive returned a positive preliminary breath test.

A search of the vehicle allegedly found what is believed to be GHB and an air pistol.

The female driver and her male passenger were both arrested.

A search of the 27-year-old-female allegedly located methylamphetamine.

She was charged with trafficking the two substances and remanded in custody.


Warrants executed

POLICE allegedly found cannabis after executing a search warrant at a Leitchville address on November 29.

The 45-year-old male occupant was charged and bailed on drug-related offences.

A second warrant was carried out at a Leitchville address the next day, where cannabis was also allegedly located.

The two occupants of the home were arrested in relation to possession and the cultivation of a narcotic plant.

They will appear in court at a later date.


Attempted theft

A car parked in Market Street, Cohuna, was tampered with overnight on November 29.


Fire investigated

Hay in a Tragowel shed self-combusted, also setting alight a surrounding paddock. CFA and police attended the Kerang-Macorna Road property.


Fire extinguisher theft

OFFENDERS let off a stolen fire extinguisher, then left the container near the train tracks in Kerang.

It had been stolen from a health facility in Burgoyne Street between November 24 and 27.
