Stolen items for sale
A KERANG man was shocked to find items he owned for sale on a Facebook page.
Police said the victim noticed the chainsaw and diesel heater for sale on May 6.
He was under the impression that he had misplaced the items and had not reported them to police.
The alleged offender had previously worked for the victim and still had keys to a secure shed where the items had been located.
Police said the alleged offender was yet to be formally identified.
House fire investigation
POLICE are investigating a suspicious fire at a house south of Cohuna.
A fire was noticed by a neighbour on Simpson Street, Horfield, about 9.30pm on May 13.
The owner was notified, who quickly returned to his property, and CFA firefighters attended.
Police said it appeared that offenders may have been at the premises, stealing and ransacking the house, and may have set fire to items outside the premises.
