Piggery burglary

A LARGE TV and various building tools have been stolen from a piggery farm on the Murray Valley Highway between O’Briens Road and O’Reillys Road, Wee Wee Rup.

Offenders broke into a shed between noon on May 16 and 4.30pm on May 20, taking items from an office.

Fuel dumped

A MOTORIST who filled his diesel vehicle with unleaded petrol at a Cohuna service station dumped the contents of his fuel tank about 4.30pm on May 19.

After asking the staff if the service station had a spill kit, which they declined, the motorist removed the vehicle’s fuel tank plug, releasing the contents on the driveway.

The fuel began running towards the gutter and nearby drain, with people, vehicles and heavy traffic in the vicinity.

Once the fuel was emptied, the man filled his tank with diesel before driving off without paying.

Local CFA were called in to clean up the spill and prevent it running down the drain into town water.

Police have spoken to the driver and the investigation is ongoing.
