Police recover classic Holden

ECHUCA police have recovered a classic car that was taken from a Cohuna workshop late last month.

Campaspe service area police officers pulled over a vehicle with a trailer they believed was driving suspiciously on Dobinson Street, about 5am on Wednesday, August 7.

They found the trailer had stolen number plates attached.

After the driver was arrested, officers uncovered the sky-blue Holden HX Monaro GTS on the trailer underneath a tarp.

The car is alleged to have been stolen from a property in Gibbins Drive in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 20.

A man has been charged and is set to appear at Echuca Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
