GANNAWARRA

Intercept: On Friday, November 1, about 7pm, police detected a vehicle travelling at an alleged speed of 137km/h on the Loddon Valley Highway in the Macorna area. The driver was a 48 year old female. An oral fluid test allegedly indicated a positive result for methylamphetamine and cannabis. A search was conducted of the vehicle and a container containing cannabis and a case with what is believed to be methylamphetamine were allegedly found. Both the female driver and male passenger were taken back to the Kerang Police Station. The female driver will receive a summons, and the male passenger was charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.

Arson: On Wednesday, October 30, about 6.30am, CFA and police were called to a house fire in Murray Street, Kerang. The 33-year-old male occupant was arrested and charged with arson. He was bailed to attend court at a later date.

SWAN HILL

Attempted theft from motor vehicles: On Friday, November 1, about 10pm the victim heard noises outside their home in Birdwood Avenue, Nyah West. When they went to investigate they saw offenders fleeing. Both vehicles had sustained damage indicating attempted forced entry.

Damage: Between October 26 and November 2, a headstone at the Swan Hill cemetery was damaged.

Intercept: On Sunday, November 3, about 1:20am, police performed a routine intercept of a vehicle in Sugarwood Drive. A search allegedly located cannabis and what is believed to be cocaine. The driver will receive a caution and diversion in relation to the possession.

Fire: On Saturday, November 2, about 5pm, CFA and police were called to a fire on Blackwire Road. Fixed wing and helicopter assisted in bringing it under control. About 55 hectares of crop were destroyed. Early investigations indicate it was deliberately lit.

Fire: On Thursday, October 31, and 7.30am the next day, a grass fire started on Moar Road. Its cause is unknown at this stage.

Theft from motor vehicle: Between October 25 and 30, offenders forced entry to a vehicle parked in Gummow Street. Tools were stolen, and the offenders tried to force the ignition.

ROBINVALE

Fire: On Saturday, November 2, at 10pm, the CFA was called to a fire in McLennan Drive. The fire was close to the river but spread to the public carpark before it was extinguished. Police are attempting to ascertain the cause and identify people seen in the area.
