Police round-up

Fire

CFA and police were called to a house fire in Koondrook in the early hours of Monday morning. The home was extensively damaged but the occupants were able to escape without injury. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

Trespass

ABOUT 4.30am on Saturday, January 25, a group of people were seen hanging around a vehicle parked in McAlpine Lane, Nyah. It appears at this stage there was nothing taken from the vehicle.

Damage

BETWEEN 1 and 2am on Friday, January 24, the victim was woken by loud banging at her front door in Cadell Street. When she checked on the door in the morning, she found that the security door had been damaged.

Car fire

ABOUT midnight on Saturday, January 25, police and CFA were called to a car fire in Miles Court. The heat from the fire also damaged to another vehicle. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Thefts

OVER the past week there have been numerous thefts from motor vehicles and theft of bicycles. On Wednesday, January 22, a 35 year old male was arrested and charged with numerous offences. He was bailed to attend court at a later date.

BETWEEN 7.30pm on Thursday, January 23, and 6.30am the following day, offenders gained entry to a vehicle parked in Burton Street and stole a backpack containing a laptop and various other property. A member of the public located the laptop in Norton Park and handed it in to police.

BETWEEN 8pm on Tuesday, January 21, and 1pm the following day, 22 golf clubs were stolen from the front yard of a property in Stradbroke Avenue. A camping swag was also stolen. The items had been placed on the lawn listed for sale.

BETWEEN 9.30am and 12.30pm on Monday, January 20, the victim had parcels that had been delivered to her Nalder Drive property stolen.

BETWEEN 5pm on Monday, January 20, and 8am the following day, two e-scooters were stolen from under the carport of an address in High Street.

BETWEEN 9pm Tuesday, January 21, and 7am the following day, a red Pathfinder 140XL mobility scooter was stolen from a Naretha Street address.

BULOKE

Fire

ABOUT 6am on Friday, January 24, a home in Dempsey Street Wycheproof caught fire. CFA extinguished the blaze. The occupant was not home at the time. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

ROBINVALE

Carjacking

ABOUT 10pm on Saturday, January 25, a woman pulled into the garage of her Robinvale home. A male opened the door, forced her out and drove off. The vehicle, a red Subaru Forrester wagon was recovered in Mildura.
