GANNAWARRA
Theft, collision: POLICE are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from Cohuna on Monday evening, February 3. The silver Holden Commodore sedan was reported stolen from a Livingstone Street address. It was later located after what appears to have been a rollover on the Murray Valley Highway, Gunbower. Passersby stopped and called police.
Damage: THE window of a home in Vaughan Street, Kerang, was damaged by what appears to be rocks thrown between 11pm on Saturday, February 8, and 8am the following day.
Livestock theft: BETWEEN May and November 2024, the victim discovered that 100 lambs and 80 ewes had gone from his flock located in the Sandhill Lake area. The sheep were merino border Leicester cross.
SWAN HILL
Attempted burglary: ABOUT 9.30pm on Wednesday, February 5, the occupant of a home in Rutherford Street was woken by a sound outside. She got out of bed and opened her rear door to see a male standing on her patio. She told him to leave which he did. She later discovered that one of her windows had evidence of tampering. This investigation is ongoing.
Bicycle theft: A BLACK Flight mountain bike was stolen from an address in Haig Court between 12pm on Thursday February 6 and 7am the following day.
Theft from motor vehicle: ABOUT 6.15am on Friday, February 7, the victim observed a male standing near his vehicle in Gillespie Street. The male rode off on a mountain bike, and the victim discovered that a mobile phone had been stolen from his vehicle.
ROBINVALE
Collision: JUST after 3am on Sunday, February 9, it appears a driver lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a paddock of dry grass while travelling on Moore Street. The vehicle was towing a camper trailer. The 63-year-old male driver and sole occupant, was able to get out of the vehicle before it caught on fire. An ambulance took the driver to Mildura for assessment.
Fire: POLICE located an unattended fire pit which was burning all types of materials about 1.30pm on Saturday, February 8, while they were patrolling the Hattah-Robinvale Road at Bannerton. The owner returned to the fire and was informed by police that it must be extinguished immediately as it was a fire danger period. Investigations are also being undertaken as chemicals and potentially other hazardous material were being burnt.
