Experienced principal has more students

GREG Adams is leading four times more students as the new principal at Leitchville compared with his previous school.

The grade four to six teacher’s expertise in numeracy will benefit the 21 enrolled students, who will this year operate in an open learning environment.

“I have taught at larger schools in Kerang and I can use my experiences as a principal at Quambatook,” Mr Adams said.

“The knowledge I have gained in small communities, such as Quambatook and Lalbert, continues to spur me on to see improvements to educational outcomes.”

Mr Adams said the the school community is continuing to deliver rewarding programs.

“I am just here to keep moving it forward and making small tweaks to continue improving,” he said.

“Everyone has made me warmly welcome.”

Meanwhile, school leaders have been elected for this year, with Gemma Eagles announced as captain and Lewis Kennedy North as vice-captain.

The students’ representative council was also appointed, with Angie Gloster, Will Crichton, Holly Eagles, Madi Neivandt and Caylee Smith responsible for seeking feedback and ideas from their peers, modelling appropriate behaviour and organising activities.
