Parents’ room a popular place

A MUCH-NEEDED area of comfort will make its debut at Saturday’s Murrabit Market.

During the past few weeks the Murrabit Hall Committee have worked to turn the hall’s ante-room into a parents’ comfort room.

The space is designed to accommodate parents when they need to feed their babies or young children, change nappies or to take a break from the crowd.

The room includes tow chairs and footstools, a change table, cooling fan, sink and tea/coffee making facilities.

“We identified a need as there are always young families at the market,” hall committee president, Neil Hopkins said.

“We’re really thrilled with the room and I think it’s a credit to the foresight and hard work of our committee.”
