Residents to vote

BARHAM residents will go to the polls tomorrow to elect a new municipal representative.

Community volunteer, Christine Dartnell and dairy farmer, Alan Mathers are vying to represent Wakool Shire Council’s C Ward alongside current councillor and mayor, Cr Neil Gorey.

The position to represent the area, which township of Barham and along East Barham Road, was made vacant after Colin Membrey resigned from council last December.

Pre-poll voting is available at the Barham Community Centre today from 9am to 6pm.

Results will be declared on Wednesday.
