CMFNL – Top sides win

THE Central Murray Football Netball League’s top three sides recorded wins at the weekend, extending its double chance hopes.

Koondrook/Barham recorded the biggest win of round 11, recording a 151-point victory against Balranald.

The Raiders restricted the ‘Roos to two goals for the match, with Tom Lamb (nine goals), Jake Hare (three goals), Zac Hare (two goals) and Nicholas Sims (two goals) kicking as many goals as the hosts.

Kerang also recorded a big win, defeating Tyntynder by 92 points.

Led by seven goals from co-coach Troy Coates, the Blues restricted the Bulldogs to one behind during the opening half.

Meanwhile, Nyah-Nyah West United recorded a 90-point win against the Cohuna Kangas – who are now two and a half wins outside the top five.

Rick Easton kicked three of the Kangas’ four goals, with Adam Sambono booting nine goals for the hosts.

The Blues, Demons and Raiders all have the bye this weekend.
