CMFNL – Keely destroys Swans

COHUNA Kangas teenager, Harrison Keely guided the Cohuna Kangas to a 91-point win against Swan Hill in round 12 Central Murray Football Netball League action.

In a rare appearance up forward, Keely kicked nine goals – three more than the Swans could manage for the entire game – to keep the Kangas’ finals hopes alive.

Fellow youngster, Marcus Rogers joined Keely in being one of the best players on the ground, giving Kangas fans a glimpse of its future.

The home side led by 26 points at quarter time, before keeping the Swans goalless in the second term to open up a 55-point lead by the main break.

The win moved the Kangas to eighth on the ladder, with a key match against Woorinen this weekend.

Kerang and Koondrook/Barham had the bye.
