Paving the way courtside

THE precious floor of the Riverside Park basketball stadium has been saved from further damage by a Gannawarra Shire Council concreting project.

More than $8000 was spent on the floor to repair damage from dirt and gravel carried in on shoes from the nature strip adjacent to the stadium.

Council has now extended the footpath to the width of the nature strip, meaning players will be able to follow a sealed surface all the way from their cars to the front door.

Youngsters from Kerang South Primary School are pictured here with Kerang Amateur Basketball Association committee members Maree Hunter and Dee Somerville.
